    3. Hi, you might want to check to "McNabe List' " I believe its called done by Col Bye of a survey of labourers working on the Rideau Canal, Bytown, Ontario circa 1826/28 regarding family members in Ireland who might be interested in coming to Canada. Namely one Abraham Pratt who mentions a brother in law living in Ireland by the name of Storey, Pratt came from the Belturbet area of Cavan and declares a Storey as a brother in law as a possible immigrant, I believe the Storey's did migrate to Canada and settled in the Carleton Co area which includes Ottawa, Its been a long while since I visited my records so please accept this for what it is,recallections from a long while ago. 1. [IRL-CAVAN] Maguire/McGuire and Brady/Devlin/Donoly
    2. Hi Listers, I am still trying to connect my GGGrandmother Bessie MAGUIRE/MCGUIRE to her suspected brother Terence MAGUIRE. As you may recall I found his grandson living in her household in the 1901 census listed as a nephew. I have found the 1858 marriage of Terence, age 21 (suspected of Fermanagh as his origin not listed) to Mary DEVLIN, age 23, daughter of James DEVLIN of Co Cavan, deceased, and Maria DONOLY (sp?). Information taken from the marriage as recorded on Scotland's People as the marriage occurred in Dundee in County Forfar. The father of Terence is listed as Denis (sp?) MCGUIRE and his mother as Helen BRADY. The son of Terence Maguire and Mary, Edward, is later married in Glasgow. Bessie's family was in the area of Mullyduff townland in Galloon parish so not far from the Fermanagh-Cavan border. Bessie was married in 1857 so it is a good guess that she and Terence are of the ages to be brother and sister. Or I am "barking" up the wrong McGuire tree! I am also willing to consider that although his grandson is listed as a nephew in the census that Bessie and Terence may have been cousins which would account for the discrepancies in locations. I cannot find any Dennis/Denis/D Maguire or McGuire listed in Griffith's in Fermanagh or Cavan but he may have been deceased by the time GV was done, or moved to Scotland. Anyone have any suggestions? I found this information accidentally while reviewing my paperwork. Sue, you are so right to go back over all information gathered over the years and review it. I have been "sitting" on this since 2006. It was right there and I did not search further. Of course like you Sue, I do it when tired, late at night or whenever I can squeeze a few minutes in for genealogy. Janet Morgan **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
