    2. the graves are gone but thi s is a big place some people myself included believe they might find the arc of the covernant there please god ihope they didnt pave it over. tara is where jerimiah aka ollam fola brought the last of two princesses from israel one married the king of iberia the other the high king of ireland. olam folla built the code of laws religious and secular. jerimiah was propheciezed to tear down and build up he tore down the israelite throne. and he built up the thrones in britian by doing ireland. you have no idea what can still be found. what treasures are to be discovered. and the point is no one does. all this was done way back before bc when babylonia captured the nations of israel and judah.back when the druids came from mid asia to england. finding m cousin is nothing if the history of that era could be established. what tablets exist there. ireland has kept civilized records secret before why not again Jim Denning -Ygenealogist-MTgenealogist using Genetics to connect Chelsea,Ma.-Woburn,Ma.-denning-dennen-danin-dinan-dinihey-denningston-dinning- carlon-carroll-dever-cogan-malone-heslin-piscopo-mazzola-martini-farrell-mchug h-farley-grimes-lynch-doherty-SanDanto,Ita-Adargh,longford-Revere,Ma-Wintrop,M a.- and ever an growing list List owner of Irish-dna,Piscopo-l-Heslin-l,McHugh-l,Cogan-l-Machelsea-l,Ita-Frosinone-l,Mazzola-l-Duggan-l Project Manager of Chelsea Ma. 3. Thanks for your reply Jim. I should point out that since the road is already done, we can do nothing to preserve the site now. What we can do now, is perhaps what I suggested. If the bones are indeed kept in separate "bags" this is all I could suggest. Records even pre-1900 can be extremely difficult to come by, let alone much further than that. Records were destroyed as different regimes came to the island. What seems to me to remain are different religious records, old papers and manuscripts and folk songs. If this was a tragedy such as the black plague, perhaps old songs may be researched. Appreciating our ancestors, of course we're horrified at any government doing something like this road, giving no notice or anything. Political work to be done here. But that's the reality isn't it? So what we have to do is try to make sure future incursions are not made without notice and deal with what's left of this one. In this way, we do our genealogical job, we preserve for the future generations as much as we can of our heritage. Kathleen

As of yet no full archaeological report has been published, leaving the Irish public in a cloud of darkness about the heritage of the site and its importance in terms of national folklore. There has always been a tradition within Irish culture never to interfere with the graves of our ancestors - yet no attempt at preserving the graveyard through re-routing the interchanged which runs over the burial mound was contemplated. The preliminary reports on the NRA website record only three human remains being unearthed, yet the final dig uncovered graves of at least fifty individuals, including many children buried in ceremonial alignment. The unusual layout of the burial mound automatically suggests that it is the remnants of a battlefield or an undefined tragic event, and naturally it was hoped that the archaeological dig would have uncovered sufficient evidence to enlighten the Irish public about its construction, before any further action was taken regarding its future. Unfortunately the NRA chose to destroy the graveyard prior to any public disclosure, stealing our birthright of knowing the full value of the site and its possible connection to the kingdom of Tara. It is also disheartening to learn that the human remains uncovered at the site are to be stored for the unforeseen future in plastic containers at a warehouse rented by the National Museum - with no re-internment ceremony planned in the customary traditions of the Irish people. One must really question if there is anything sacred in this island of ours anymore and is this the precedence being set for all construction projects in the future regarding burial mounds and other national monuments. TIA Roberta In beautiful sunny Queensland The County Cavan Research Centre, email address [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) , were very helpful to me in my search for ancestors who were around Bailieborough. You may find the office on the internet by entering 'county cavan research centre' in your search. This office is one of the government-sponsored offices set up for each county. It takes some months in order to realize results after your initial agreement with the Research Centre. That said, I found this group to be a great help and critical resource to progressing further. There is much information held locally in various places that one simply cannot find outside the county. We travelled to Armagh and Cavan in 2005, and went by the Centre to say hello and ask a few questions. My key contact was out on a research task, but her colleagues were gracious and worked on the questions I had. It's worth a visit to establish contact even if you don't have a file working with this group. Super people. Regards. 3. The County Cavan Newspaper Transcription has come to an end having realized its goal of transcribing all available data prior to the advent of civil registration in 1864. Now I'd like to tackle the1641 depositions, however, they are not for the feint of heart! These are claims people made of damages suffered by insurrection and contain a great deal of genealogical information. The handwriting is horrible making a literal transcription impractical. The goal of this project is to abstract the information in a format similiar to that found in Eustace, P.B. and Ellis, E. "Abstracts of Wills at the Registry of Deeds" (3 vols.), Irish Manuscripts Commission, 1954-1988. If you would like to help you must be able to spend lots of time at a microfilm reader.
