Yes Germaine's hotel is still there in Baltinglass. It belongs to a member of the Grangecon branch of the family. I remember going there in 1990 after a local football win and the place was so jam packed with revellers I was scared it might fall down! I think some major improvements have been made since then. I heard that Joe Germaine, the grand old man of that family died last year and his son now runs the pub.
