    3. Still looking for any information on the Lummax family. On a visit to Ireland last week saw the grave earlier mentioned of Anne and John Lummax in Fenagh graveyard from 1788. We know 2 John Lummaxes (one with family) emigrated to Canada on the Maria in 1819 and were iven land in Beckwith, Lanark County, Ontario. And also a William Lummax was given land near there later - possibly a brother to John. My ancestor Henry enlisted in he 4th lLight Dragons which were based in Carlow, on 31 Jul 1815, and Ihave seen reference in a court case to a place referred to as Lummax,s Cross near Carlow, but can find no other records of any mention of the Lummaxes.. Does anyone have access to he church records of Fenagh as have been unable to contact the minister here? Grateful for any information, Hilary Sent from my iPad

    3. 7 April, 1839, Thomas Lummocks, John Lummocks and Ellen Bryan, sponsors are James Bryan and Ann Gaskin, townland Clonatoose (Fenagh); 26 September, 1841, Michael Lummocks, John and Ellen Brien, sponsors are Thomas Lummocks and Margaret Doyle townland is Fenagh; 3 March 1844, Mary Lummocks, John and Ellen Bryan, sponsors are John and Julia Murphy.      These three baptisms were extracted from the Dunleckney Parish Registers which I have been transposing for some time. They are Catholic Baptisms. Part of Fenagh was in Dunleckney Parish. Despite the spellimg of then name they could be related. I suppose your Lummaxs' may be protestant too, but I thought you would find this family of interest.
