Two of Patrick and Rosanna's daughters, Marian and Julia, emigrated to Toronto and both married there, 1915/16. Marian married my grandfather's brother, James Conderan; James's father Patrick Conran/Conderan, was originally from Clonmelsh. I've often wondered, but have no idea if the two families knew each other in Ireland, or if it was a chance meeting in Toronto... If anyone searching the Dowlings of Rathvilly wants more info on Marian and Julia, please let me know.
