Thomas Kitson of Hacketstown, Carlow came before me this day and made oath on the Holy Evangelists that there have been several fowls of different kinds stolen from his place in Hacketstown. That about the 12th March 1813 a Game Hen worth at least ten shillings was stolen from him by Michael Bryan of Ballysallagh, Carlow, (signed) Thomas Kitson. Sworn before me this 3rd day of July 1813.
