Events for Carlow 800. 2013 marks a historic occasion in Carlow Town as they commemorate the 800th anniversary of the construction of Carlow Castle. This four - day event celebrates this important milestone with a history conference, an International Taste of Carlow Food and Craft Fair, musical performances, walking tours, a trad trail and a Ballroom of Romance in the former Town Hall Theatre. *22nd - 25th August 2013* Walking tours of Carlow Town - walking tours will feature Carlow Town centre and Carlow's Cultural Quarter, Venue: Carlow Tourist Office, College Street, Carlow at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Free - all welcome. *Pop Up Shop Project * A number of pop up shops will operate in Carlow Town during the Carlow 800 festivities.
