    3. Interesting to see reports of the Rev John Gahan. Pardon my ignorance, but what is PP an abbreviation for? Protestant Priest or public prosecutor? What were they agitating about? There is a Gahan who was deported to Australia for sheep rustling in about 1815, together with several other villains. He was involved in building the road from Sydney to the Blue mountains, and made a reasonable amount of money. Also a Dorothy Gahan who married a James Oliver of Leighlinbridge, and allegedly died in 1845. Anyone know more about this family? Maybe the sheep rustlers were actually agitating, or just deperate? > From: irl-carlow-request@rootsweb.com > Subject: IRL-CARLOW Digest, Vol 8, Issue 235 > To: irl-carlow@rootsweb.com > Date: Fri, 5 Jul 2013 01:00:53 -0600 > > > > Before you send an email to this List you must first of all subscribe to the List. > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
