I have just uploaded the last of the Lisnavagh Rentals & Rent Account records provided by Turtle Bunbury http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlcar2/Lisnavagh_Archive_29.htm The new pages start at Page 89 to 112. Wow. This is truly terrific work. A huge thank you to Michael Brennan, Treacy Breen and Bob Joyce for the immense amount of work that is involved in a project like this. As a family, it is our sincere hope that these records prove useful to the descendants of those who either lived or worked or rented land from Lisnavagh / Rathmore / Williamtsown / Ballyoliver Tobinstown / The Moat during the late 18th and 19th centuries. The records may also be good for anyone studying the history of County Carlow, or of Irish landed estates generally. With luck, someone may one day produce some form of a thesis based on these records and thus provide a useful introduction as to what all these names and figures mean. In any event, the very fact that these records are now searchable on line via the always excellent Carlow IGP is something that is to be very much applauded.
