    3. Karen [Conderan], I believe that a Rev. James Conran once owned land in the area of Ballon as a "Rev. James Couran" (my transcription) is referenced in an 1832 will for a Thomas Nowlan of Ballon who had a leasehold on lands and premises managed by "the Representatives of the late Rev. James Couran". Regards, Roger Nowlan PS#1: Mike Purcell of the list suggested that what I transcribed as Couran was likely Conran. PS#2: I also live in Canada, in the Ottawa area. ******************** http://nolanfamilies.org ******************** ----- Original Message ----- From: "karen conderan" <kcond@live.ca> To: <irl-carlow@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 28, 2010 12:58 PM Subject: Re: [IRL-CARLOW] Carlow Cathedral 1774--1811 > > I'm willing to assist with typing - are you able to send scanned images to > those of us outside Ireland? Thanks for your offer to look at these copies > of Cathedral Registers.I've no dates to give you, but would appreciate any > references to Conran/Condron, etc., should you happen to see any. Thanks, > Karen. > >> Date: Sat, 27 Mar 2010 12:42:19 +0000 >> From: carlowmike@gmail.com >> To: irl-carlow@rootsweb.com >> Subject: [IRL-CARLOW] Carlow Cathedral 1774--1811 >> >> we have found a photocopy in the PPP of Carlow Cathedral Registers for >> 1774 >> to 1794 and 1787 --1811. >> I can confirm that the only Baptisms or Marriages recorded during 1777 to >> 1791 >> were for those who paid. >> 2 shillings and 2 pence for a Baptism. >> 1 shilling and 1 penny for " an Unction" .
