The Carlow Cathedral Registers dating from 1811 to 1820 for St. Mary's Parish, are missing. I was told by the Cathedral sacristan that Father Peader McSwayne (Peadar Mac Suibhne) borrowed them many years ago , they have not been seen since. In the 1980s we undertook a through search of the Library in St. Patrick's College but there was no sign of them. They were not available to be microfilmed in the 1950s.
