    3. Ron I saw your posting on the Carlow list indicating that you were searching for information on the "Lannin" family name or any of its variants. For my part, I recall seeing a Lennon tombstone in the old Ballon cemetery behind the RC church (Sts. Peter and Paul). Unfortunately I didn't take a picture at the time but do recall it because of making an association with the Beatles' John Lennon. I also recall that it was close to the back of the church and that one of the neighbouring tombstones dated back to 1811. I also note that there is a Patrick Lennon mentioned in Griffiths Valuation of 1851/52 for Oldtown, Ballyellin, Co. Carlow. Bye for now and good luck with your search, Roger Nowlan On Sun, Mar 28, 2010 at 9:52 PM, Ron Lanning <ron@ykk.co.nz> wrote: > Hi Hoping when you get a chance you may be able to see if there is any > mention of the Family Name " Lannin " or variants e.g L*NN*N would be > probably 1800-1811 , my GGGrandfather , Nathaniel , was Born circa > 1818-1819 > , but maybe one of his siblings may have been Born earlier . > > Thanks for any Help . > > Regards > Ron Lanning >
