Thank you for posting this, Treacy: Not sure if there is a connection between one of my John Bulgers and the one listed below , as I have no record of an Ellen anywhere.  I will try to do some further digging, but I do know my Bulgers hailed from Carlow, and the timeframe for my gg uncle fits.
