Well done to Alan, Michael Purcell & Michael Brennan however I think the heading should explain that the Church was named St. Mary's at that time and we should also indicate that these are Roman Catholic and not Anglican Baptisms & Marriages. Thus avoiding confusion with St Marys C of I records. The use of the name St Mary's was changed after 1950 ( the date on the statue over the Cathedral door) as.... "On November 1, 1950, the Feast of All Saints, Pope Pius XII declared as a dogma revealed by God that "Mary, the immaculate perpetually Virgin Mother of God, after the completion of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into the glory of Heaven". Can anyone confirm this ?
