    3. I have had to stop my contributions regarding the Carlow newspapers and various Minute Books reports on "War of Independence Jan. 1919-July 1921" but I hope to resume them shortly... I am kept busy with organising events relating to Leonard Cohen Concert in Lissadell, Sligo in July next. ( Leonard Cohen Forum and also Leonard Cohen Appreciation Society Ireland). 3. That is so exciting. I skipped classes in the mid 60s to hear Leonard Cohen read at UBC in Vancouver. He may not be steeped in Irish genealogy (but who knows?), but he certainly does have a passion for roots and history. "Elegy", the first poem in "Let Us Compare Mythologies" can be read in so many ways - beyond the obvious - and one reading for me includes how the past is always with us and within us..
