Hi Folks, I just booked an 8 day journey to Ireland in July and plan to visit the known areas of my roots. This includes Roscommon Co. as well as Borris in County Carlow. Several questions from my fellow listers. what is the appropriate protocol to ask for records from the Parish Priest? Call ahead? Write ahead? Is there a physical central repository of data that I can visit in the county? ( I appreciate that much of it is online, thanks to you guys..) Will gladly take any recommendations for 'places to stay', preferably B&B style, in the Borris area. Pat Coulter
