> Thanks Michael - I had actually found this when I returned home to > Australia after my visit to Co.Carlow in 2008. I wrote to the P.P. Father Gahan, whom I had met at the Presbytery at Tullow, when he allowed me to look up the Baptism/ Marriage records, prior to my visiting Clonmore. He did not respond despite a SAE sent with the letter, so perhaps he did not wish to reveal any information. Good thought though and I shall perhaps write c/o Coolalaw House and see what happens. Cheers!........Judy > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Message: 1 > Date: Sun, 9 May 2010 09:22:29 +0100 > From: "Michael Brennan" <mjbrennan@blueyonder.co.uk> > Subject: [IRL-CARLOW] Coolalaw House > To: <irl-carlow@rootsweb.com> > Message-ID: <B20CDBDA1D274E4785413290F0922ADA@MichaelBPC> > Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-1"; > reply-type=original > > Judith > > I notice in the March 7th 2007 edition of the Carlow Nationalist > newspaper > there is a record of a death which occurred in > > It reads as follows: > > SYMPATHY: Sympathy is extended to the nieces, nephews, cousins and > extended > family of the late Mrs Mary Ciss O'Byrne, nee Kinsella, Coolalaw > House, > Coolalaw, who died on Sunday, February 25 and was laid to rest in > the new > cemetery in Clonmore on Tuesday, February 27 following 11am Mass. > She was > predeceased by her husband James and her brother Timothy Kinsella. > (end) > http://archives.tcm.ie/carlownationalist/2007/03/07/story31154.asp > > You maybe be able to contact the O'Byrne's in the area who may know > what > happened to the house in question. > > Regards > > Michael Brennan > > Carlow Website: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlcar2/ > My Laois Page: > http://freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mjbrennan/index.htm >
