    3. Thanks, Terry, for all your work on this. These records are a great resource, as I've used them before for my Westmeath ancestors. Many of these records are also available on microfilm from the Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church) and can be ordered for a minimal fee from a local LDS Family history Center if you have one nearby. The index number for the proper film from the LDS can be searched on their site www.familysearch.org -----Original Message----- From: irl-carlow-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-carlow-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Michael Brennan Sent: Sunday, May 09, 2010 5:04 AM To: irl-carlow@rootsweb.com Subject: [IRL-CARLOW] Royal Hospital Chelsea Soldiers Service records Over the past few months Terry Curran has been very busy putting together a record of the Royal Hospital Chelsea Soldiers Service records of Carlow Soldiers who claimed a pension after discharge from the British Army. 3. Hi Michael Thanks Terry. This is a great reference list for family history research. I've made some of my biggest breakthroughs with these kind of pension records. I have copies of the four documents for John Boels of Carlow which are listed on this page. Others may have others of these documents and perhaps some members will order copies now that they've seen the list online. I doubt very much these documents are copyrighted and the National Archives doesn't usually care if the copies they provide are published as long as they're not used for profit. Would we consider including links to the original document for the ones in that list that we have? It might help other people out so they don't order the same copy again and it would make interesting reading for anyone. I would be glad to make scanned images of mine available.
