Any record that I find on the 'official' site I would really wish to check against a second transcription if I can't get to see the original page. Just as a guess, I would say that Brian's work will have a much higher degree of accuracy and will continue to be invaluable for a long time. I found this in the 1911 records; because the enumerator couldn't read the word on the original records they didn't put any name in at all and yet when I opened the pdf I found I could read the name quite clearly and I'm only an armature. So keep them coming Brian. I don't see how they are going to transcribe some of them because they are so washed out. Anyway, I will go on according to plan. bgw ======================================= Before you post a message to the IRL-CARLOW mailing list you must subscribe to the List. Dear Brian, I agree 100% with Terry, Michael and the rest of the List.....your work has been invaluable to me and I'm sure to many others too. We are in your debt for all the work you have done with this register. You are in the perfect place for my Great-Grandfather and his siblings now. I'm excited to see what else comes up. So have no doubt at all.....we know that you gave from the heart and it was/is a labour of love and a great gift to us all. We appreciate always all the work you have done. You will continue to help Carlovians for generations to come. Geez Pat, are you trying to embarrass me? I will go ahead according to my plan and finish the baptisms up to 1850, when I knew most of my ancestors left for the U.S. I am sure the new project will be of value, and we are lucky to have many eyes looking at the same primary source information. Thank you for the kind words.
