A great thought to post a list like this, with names and addresses and cities. It just shows how far-flung the inhabitants of just one village like Rathvilly were, and why it's so difficult to trace them. Unfortunately my roots do not lie in Rathvilly, but i'm sure it will be a big help to some listers. We need more original thinking like this. It also reminds me of a story about my great-grandfather, who was asked to help solicit funds for a new Catholic church in Moneenroe. He knew everyone, so he would ask of both Catholic and Protestant alike. Should a non-Catholic demur, he would then ask if they would like to contribute to a fund to tear down the old Catholic church. Jack Langton
