BELL family of Minoughrim near Clonegal from 1700s to 1838 specifically Mary Bell and her daughter Susannah (b.1818), as well as Ann Bell sister of Mary and their father John Bell farmer of Minaughrim. The family were farmers in the area and members of St. Fiaacs Church of Ireland Clonegal. Mary and Susannah emigrated to Australia in 1838. STERNE Charles Sterne, possibly of the local Clonegal clan of Sternes who mostly emigrated to Canada but more likely a relative from Wexford. Charles married Mary Bell (see above) and they had a daughter Susannah (see above baptised St Fiaacs) in 1818. Charles was also mentioned as a farmer.
