Hi All I am still looking for information about John Flood (boat builder) in Graigue between 1819 and 1860.He also had land, house=, office and garden in Grange, Laois with a deed dated 1820. He married Catherine Fitzgerald although at times the name looks like Fitzpatrick in the Killishin. Unsure of the number of children he and Catherine had as the records only start at 1819. His son Edward Flood was a merchant in Graigue, married Eleanor (Ellen Coady) and they had eight children all baptized at the local church and found on the records of Killishin. John Coady Flood, 1851, Julia Flood 1852, Peter Flood 1854, Myles Flood 1857, Ellen Flood 1859, Edward Fitzgerald Flood 1862, Charles Flood 1865 and Catherine Flood 1868. I have information on John, Julia, Ellen and Edward. Nothing about the other four. Could they have died? If so, I haven't been able to find a death record. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
