    3. Thanks to Alan McGrath and Anna Golan. I will access the County Carlow telephone directory and try and find Bridget O'Shea. Three years ago I wrote to every Tobin in the Carlow telephone directory and received only one reply. Persistence was rewarded in borrowing the Parish Register microfilms in finding the baptism of my great-grandfather Thomas Tobin at the RC Capel Leighlinbridge on 26 October 1834 and I will follow up on any leads.
