Matilda is my family. She had an uncle who was my gg grandfather. And yes, I recall too that she married Bernard Nolan and then Hugh Nolan. I don't know if I have much of anything on Bernard. All my research is packed up and and the boxes are here and there and piled up ! We have been reorganizing our home office and I have not worked on my Irish genealogy in a long time. Debbie <<There was a branch of Nolans in the Myshall area with the first name Bernard in the mid 1800s, hailing from the area of Rosslee townland. What I recall from this Bernard is that when he died in 1869 his widow Matilda married another Nolan, a Hugh Nolan (of Shangarry Nolan line). Bernard had two brothers that I know of, a James who lived in the Myshall area and another named John who lived in New Ross, Co. Wexford. After Bernard's death, a legal nightmare ensued which was eventually resolved in favour of Hugh Nolan who had married the widow Matilda and took in Bernard's children.>>
