    3. Maribeth Nolan has sent us a fantastic photo of a large group of people (70+) nearly all standing on a Barge. See: Boating Trip (2nd image from the bottom) http://www.igp-web.com/carlow/Graiguecullen_images_2.htm The look on all their faces; not a single smile. Was this just a photo shoot or did they all pile on the boat and go on a trip down the Barrow? 3. There is something on the foremast looks like shamrock symbol or the ace of spades, it also is on a board inside the shed. There is a banner furled on the mast. The females are all wearings posys on their bosoms. Could it be a temperance outing.? 3. Wow...If so, I would be surprised that my grandfather was there...he was a pretty hard drinker! But maybe he was enlisted to attend by my grandmother...didn't see her on the boat but will look again. ----- Original Message ----- From: CARLOMAN2 To: irl-carlow@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, June 28, 2010 2:25 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-CARLOW] Boating Trip 1910/12 There is something on the foremast looks like shamrock symbol or the ace of spades, it also is on a board inside the shed.
