I never knew this website existed! The "Carlow Book of Kells" is wonderful too! I notice names like Cowman in addition to the Comyn, Cummin, Cummings, you have already told me about. According to notes from a third cousin (through Patrick James Comen's wife Mary Elizabeth Cleary) Patrick's father was also named Patrick. This cousin also states that other spellings were Commen, Coleman, and Coalman, I suppose here in the USA.
