    3. Can't say, certainly not as yet Turtle. In our Wicklow researches, out of the blue has turned up Marie Kent, who was born in and lives in England but is descended from the Wicklow Halpins. She visits Ireland yearly and sees many of the family and has repeatedly mentioned the Bayleys of Moneygrath who say that they have a connection with the Halpin family and want to find out how. Edmund and Elizabeth "Bailey" leased all the townland of "Moneygrogh" in Griffith's, about 1852, and it seems that the family is still there. Their land is directly next door to the ancient church at Barragh, which is described in the map accompanying Griffith as ruins and with a graveyard. Ray Halpin has received handed down family "lore" that the Halpin family had a great schism way back when, I think over politics, and that some of the men were brought up by aunts in Carlow. So you see, we are sensitive to any suggestions of Carlow links. Wouldn't it be amusing if we had another tie-in with the Bunburys? Thanks for your input, always welcome. Tipperary, and Co. Carlow, through marriage of Deborah Neale (sometimes O'Neale) (d. 3 Nov 1760), daughter and co- heiress of the Rev Dr Benjamin Neale, Archdeacon of Leighlin and Ferns, and Henry Prittie, MP (1708 - 1768) ... the Bunbury family are also tied in here.
