I came across a book, 'The 2nd Royal Irish Rifles in the Great War ' by James W. Taylor. In case anyone is interested, it is published by Four Courts Press and the ISBN is 1-85182-952-0. The book appears to give a fairly detailed history of the 2nd Batt. My interest in it is due to a Timothy Dougherty, who served in 2 RIR, and who died in May 1918 in Cairns St.,Belfast, as a result of war wounds.
