Hi list, I have a question and I hope I have worded it correctly If I were to ask if someone in Belfast was going to their local LDS centre would it be possible that they might find there the local Belfast 1901 census films? Do local LDS's carry or have on hand their local films or do all films have to be ordered in? Thanks and I hope this is not a question that wastes everyones time. Jackie (Toronto, Can)
It is not likely that they would have the actual film you need, unless they have a very large centre. You need to have the address of the family you want to look up. Given the address the LDS person would be able to look up the correct FHL microfilm number, which you could then order in for a small fee. You could also check Jean McCarthy's website, which has some census information as well as streets for Belfast If you are really fortunate, you may find it on this site. http://www.belfastfamilyhistory.com/ Al Valentine ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Serna" <jaserna@sympatico.ca> To: <irl-belfast-city@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 07, 2007 2:55 PM Subject: [BELFAST] Belfast 1901 census at LDS question > Hi list, I have a question and I hope I have worded it correctly > > If I were to ask if someone in Belfast was going to their local LDS > centre would it be possible that they might find there the local Belfast > 1901 census films? > > Do local LDS's carry or have on hand their local films or do all films > have to be ordered in? > > Thanks and I hope this is not a question that wastes everyones time. > > Jackie (Toronto, Can) > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to IRL-BELFAST-CITY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
