There are WONDERFUL places to eat in Ireland. Forget the chain restaurants of any stripe. Gosh, better take food parcels! Seriously, as visitors from England, my cousin and I had no difficulty finding food in Belfast city centre, or in Ulster generally. MacDonald's are not unknown and there are some really nice restaurants - try down the old Dublin Road towards the University for a wide choice just out of the centre. (You don't have to be under 25.) Curiously, Ulster folk use supermarkets, so if all else fails you should be able to find a sandwich - or even make your own!
