I'm searching for information about my gr gr grandfather, George STEVENSON, and his family. He's listed in the 1852 Belfast Directory as living at Little May Street, and is a horse dealer. Born in Scotland, he came to Belfast sometime in the 1840s, married a woman named Margaret (possibly McAdam) who was born in Ireland, and had the following children born in Belfast: William, George, Margaret, Robert Alexander, Colin, Mary Elison, Aenneas, Charles Mitchell, and Thomas James. Most of the family then moved to Liverpool sometime during the 1860s, and continued working with horses - either as stable workers, horse trainers, or drivers. I'd be grateful for any ideas as to where to find records without actually going to Belfast - which is looking like a better idea each day! Regards, Marny Janson New York
