Hello Brian, Cant believe my eyes. I have Daniel Murray, my gGran born approx 1841, parents possibly Daniel/Margaret Carrickmannon My Henry O'Prey married Alice McLaughlin 1853. My Ggran was Sexton of Carrickmannon Chapel, his son Robert Burns married Mary Anne O'Prey in 1874. I also have Miskelly, Flynn, McCormick and McRoberts (who had the small Pub in Saintfield) There were Murray cousins in Raffrey, as far as I know they were Builders .This is rather disjointed as I am in a tizzy......Maureen
Maureen, Sarah Annes father was Patrick Murray, farmer. The witnesses to her marriage to John Savage, were John Murray and Sarah Mulholland. The wedding itself took place in St Matthews Belfast, 1 May 1879. However, they must have moved back to Edendarrif, as I found her there in 1901 Census, and just recently I found Sarahs obit in the paper, which stated she died Jan 27 1917, Edendarrif. I have'nt much on O'Prey at the moment, but know that there were some in Belfast. I will check through my stuff, as I think I kept notes on any I came across.
