Hi Mike I am connected to Cassidy's in Troon, Scotland. Interestingly I was told in Belfast their name was different and changed to Cassidy when they moved to Troon. I know not why? Hi Lindsay There's many variances on the surname Cassidy (Kassiday, Cassidi,etc. just to mention a couple) its the same name with a different accent, but to change their name to something different, I guess there's lots of different reasons, mainly because some clerk wrote his version of the way he thought that it was spelt.
