Brian (and other listers) I found the reference to the Boyds in the list of people standing for office very interesting. I have an original photo of a person who is supposed to be a family member involved in politics. It is a full-body studio picture of a gent and I'd guess he was about 50 years of age. I'd also guess the photo was taken about 1900. There is no indication of the name of the individual nor the name of the photographer on the front or the back of the photo. I've tried to get the person named, sending the photo to a NI political historian, Linnenhall Library, and a couple of other people, all with the same result. Does anybody else have an idea as to some one or an organization that might be able to help with finding the name of the person in the photo? Andy Airriess
Andy, Have you thought of sending it to Belfast City Hall and asking them? If you think it is one of your Boyds, it might give them enough to go on? Either that, or send it to the local paper and see if they will print it with a request?
