Hi List Can someone answer my query, Please. I have found on IGI the marriage of William John McCaughan and Anne Telford, it does give not ages or more importantly the Fathers names for the couple. In the original registers, (I assume they were married at St Anne's Parish Church. Belfast, as their children were baptised there) would it give the Fathers name as it would in an English parish register for that period of time. The couple were married 9th December 1942. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Richard
Richard: Yes it would give the father's name and not the mother's. You will be glad you inquired. You can go on line www.Emerald ancestry.com and buy your marriage certificate from there if you want.
