    1. Re: [BELFAST] PAGE/PATTERSON help with brick wall
    2. Dear Jackie I am taking the liberty of following up on the search you were helping another person on her family I have been searching for my g.g.grandfather James Braniff boat builder in or around Portaferry or Downpatrick Co Down N Ireland. I have no information on him, his wife, or if there were any other siblings .other than the information I have from his son James Braniff who left the family to work in the ship yards of Belfast Co Antrim N Ireland. James #2 was b. 1831 in the Co Down . He married Margaret Mitchell 1856 in Elington Presbyterian Church 1856 . They had 4 sons #1 William who was the harbor pilot. #2 James [my grandfather]who was a rigger for the harbor and also at sea. #3 David was a bookkeeper for the harbor office. #4 Thomas was a shipwright for the harbor. The only information I have on my Great G Grandfather was his name which I got from his sons marriage certificate. I would be very thankful for any information you may be able to give me . Many thanks for your time and kindness.

    3. Hi, I am sorry I know nothing of this family at all. I am certainly the last person to ask to help with Irish research as it has me totally baffles. I do have access to ancestry.com but it has little if anything on Ireland. Sorry Jackie [email protected] wrote: >Dear Jackie > I am taking the liberty of following up on the search you were >helping another person on her family > I have been searching for my g.g.grandfather James Braniff boat >builder in or around Portaferry or Downpatrick Co Down N Ireland.
