    3. Chris, In fact, we found supermarket a wonderful option, decently priced tasty food (cold, of course, but that is OK for sandwiches and stuff.) We were also obliged to eat American (KFC and Subway) for two of the 5 nights. The only problem with that, was that I hate to eat American when I'm in Europe. ;) Part of my fun of the trip is eating different stuff. If I eat at American chains, it takes away from the whole experience a bit. I assume I was looking in the wrong places. I'll do better next time I visit. Things do close early there though. When I was in England, I had no problems finding eateries, even when we were out in the wilds of Cornwall. Gosh, better take food parcels! Seriously, as visitors from England, my cousin and I had no difficulty finding food in Belfast city centre, or in Ulster generally. MacDonald's are not unknown and there are some really nice restaurants - try down the old Dublin Road towards the University for a wide choice just out of the centre. (You don't have to be under 25.) Curiously, Ulster folk use supermarkets, so if all else fails you should be able to find a sandwich - or even make your own!
