Hi List, I wonder if it is possible for SKS to check out a birth for me please in Belfast? This would be for a Thomas McALLISTER, son of Thomas McALLISTER and Jane, née MURPHY, he may have been born in 1901. I have one born in 1899 that is a very close possible, but my grandfather's age was 36 in 1937 when he died, the Thomas I have was born in Aug 1899, which would be the wrong age. I know that the age on the death cert may be wrong due to the sadness at the time and errors can be made ages can be assumed. Also the Thomas I have could have died very young and they had a second child named Thomas very soon afterwards! Does the GRONI use the same method for birth records searches as Joyce House in Dublin, ie you check the year books, you find an ancestor and they photocopy the entry for you? OR is it different?
