Walt, I have a poor photocopy of an article about townlands and a map showing the townlands of the Falls [Falls Road, Belfast] from the Andersonstown News of Feb 3 1979, by M.J.McShane. It shows Ballymoney townland to be surrounded by the following townlands: Balydownfine, Ballygammon, Ballyfinaghy, Dunmurry, ?town, and Black Mountain. The article states: ''Ballymoney, an older spelling of this shows it to be derived from the Irish Baile Maigh Muine meaning the thicket covered plain'' Hope this is of some help. Brian "Walt McKENZIE, Sr." <[email protected]> wrote: Townland County Civil Parish PLU Barony Ballymoney Antrim Shankill Belfast Upper Belfast Can someone help in locating a map of this Ballymoney townland ? I've tried "everything" with no luck. There are many Ballymoney's in Ireland. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
