    3. Hi Beryl, I actually order a film from the LDS History Centre, the information I am searching for is pertaining to my family. I'm not sure if people are aware but all films are catalogued according to Ward, District and Parish. I am quite happy to search for other people, the name you have given me doesn't come to mind as I have searched the whole of this film. Jean McCarthy's site lists streets, wards etc Thompson st appears to be in the Mount Pottinger Ward film no 0829088 the film I had was 0829977. I will certainly help you if I can. Do you have a history centre near you?. If not I will order this film and have a look for you. This can take a matter of weeks. Michelle Australia.

    3. Hello all, Just back from Belfast and found something interesting at PRONI. My g-g-grandfather, John McCormick married an Ann SHAW July 13, 1846. A lot of McCormicks are buried in Derriaghy, including John's son Edward and his grandfather Edward among others. There is a separate McCormick grave in the yard with some McCormicks in it, Sarah Jane, Mary Jane, Joseph . . and some McCartneys . .Annie, John . . . as well as some IRELANDs, albeit more recent than most of my McCormicks: James Ireland, Millbrook Rd, Lisburn d 1951 James (Brit) Ireland Millbrook Rd. Lisburn d. 1960 age 29 Mary Jane Ireland, Millbrook Rd Lisburn d. 1963 age 70 So, I go to PRONI and find a William SHAW and a Sarah IRELAND married in 1832. Could this be the McCormick-Shaw connection? If anyone has Irelands in the Belfast area, I'd be interested in hearing from you. Andy Airriess
