Hi Marie, In November of 2003 we had lots of discussion about this - my great grandfather's USA Naturalization papers said County Down and I had been told he came from Belfast.. The line is east of the river Lagan, which makes it the southeastern most section of Belfast. You may want to check the archives, some people send maps etc. My heat hrandfather was born in 1858 so we are talking the same timeframe. My ancestor came from Ballymaccarrett, I'm not sure if it is an area or a street or both.
