Deni There are at least three lines of enquiry you can undertake from this notice. 1. Contact the cemetery - if it was a family plot others may be buried in it (check this link http://www.lisburn.com/books/dromore-diocese/parish-stpeters-shankill.html) 2. Check the 1911 Census - there is a chance they were at that address 7 years previous 3. Check Street Directories Eddie News Extracts: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~econnolly/ My Genealogy: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/e.connolly/ ----- Original Message ---- From: "Twokitkat@aol.com" <Twokitkat@aol.com> To: irl-belfast-city@rootsweb.com; Y-IRL@yahoogroups.com; IRL-BELFAST-CITY@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, 29 July, 2007 7:20:35 PM Subject: Re: [BELFAST] Belfast Newsletter June 7, 1918 Roll of Honour and Deaths(MAGEE) In a message dated 29/07/2007 07:58:46 GMT Standard Time, lnunn@bigpond.net.au writes: MAGEE - June 5, at 1, Union Street, Lurgan (of pneumonia, after a very brief illness), Joseph Patrick, only son of the late John Magee, spirit merchant, Lurgan. - R.I.P. Funeral at 3 o'clock to-day (Friday), to Doughar Cemetery. "On his soul, sweet Jesus, have mercy." Inserted by his Uncle and Aunts. Hello Lyn Some advise please. Is there anyway of finding more information about the above person. I have been looking for a MAGEE connection in Belfast for many years. I have a Mary Magee born around 1837 in Belfast, possibly buried in Carleton in Craven Yorkshire in 1894. It's a long shot that they could be connected but you don't know unless you try.
