    3. Hello all - we are new subscribers. Our THOMPSON ancestors spent many years in India but we have just discovered a 1925 passenger list for Liverpool to Bombay which states that some of them had a previous address of 17 Rathdrum Street, Belfast. Can anyone advise what sort of area this was and if any street directories may be available to see the name of the family living there. Many thanks for any help Linda & Tony Knight Southampton UK

    3. Hi Linda & Tony, I have searched the 1901 Belfast Street Directory on my web site. I am sorry to say that i could not find any mention of Rathdrum Street. I used the search engine on my site and the only mention of Rathdrum was in County Wicklow. It may be that the street did not exist in 1901. Sorry I cannot help on this occasion. The best of luck with your research. 3. Hi Linda and Tony: I have checked the recent street directory of Belfast - and there is a Rathdrum Street off the Lisburn Road. It is part of Belfast now but may have been just outside back in 1925. The samll areas it mentions are Windsor and Andersontown. Don't know if that helps at all. This website has several directories on it and some looksups they may be able to help. http://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/Links.htm Brenda Anderson Brampton, Ontario Jean McCarthy wrote: >Hi Linda & Tony, > >I have searched the 1901 Belfast Street Directory on my web site.
