Hi, I am looking for any information on a Thomas Shields at the above address in 1861 Street Directory. He was a bookkeeper. Is there a Census aroung that date??. I am looking for other family members Any help would be appreciated. Louie Dunn

The first complete census for Belfast is, sadly, the 1901. There are many other directories, but they will not help with family members. I'd look in the birth, marriage, and death indeces for the name. Beyond simple index entries, some birth certs are available from the time period at LDS Family History Centers.
