I have just returned from Belfast and visited Greyabbey, near Bangor, and saw a good few McFADDEN's in the old graveyard ajacent to the Abbey dated early 1100's. The grave yard was over grown though and a bit difficult to read most head stones however, if you're visiting Belfast then maybe Greyabbey would be worth a visit. Good luck. Thank you for your reply Agnes. Unfortunately I won't be visiting Belfast in the foreseeable future, but my local genealogy library has some of the Northen Ireland headstone transcriptions, so I'll try that.
