    3. Hi: I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Am researching my husband's family - Sergison - Henry Sergison died 1864 in Belfast and by 1870 the rest of the family was in Philadelphia. Would like to know if Henry Sergison had sisters/brothers. Henry's wife was Catherine Orr Sergison. 2. Cheryl Dynan
    3. Can someone who has a subscription to Emerald Ancestors look up Stephen McLaughlin for me? I had never heard of this database until someone mentiones it, here or on another list. They have 1 birth for this name listed in 1869. If this is mine (dates are off about 8 years) I will pay for a subscription. This is my lone Northern Ireland ancestor and he is my brick wall. I paid a researcher last year and am uncertain if we found the right family as there was a 5 year gap with no births and of course mine is one of the ones missing. Thank you in advance. Cheryl

    3. Hi folks, To answer a previous question - There are a total 246 subscribers to this list at present. I know we have a few subscribers who live in Belfast, but as a person's location is neither requested nor required when they subscribe, it is impossible to give an accurate number. Perhaps we could all start including a general location of our residence at the end of our e-mails when we next post. Cheers, Dave Jassie Lincoln, England.

    3. Thanks Dave for the information. The location part of the question was not for any particular reason other than to know if the person one is corresponding with is familiar with the geography. Since I have yet to travel to Ireland I still am amazed to find out actually how close some places are to others. Again thanks for the information. 3. Thanks Raymond, The Scottish stuff for your dates I have except I have an elusive Grandfather William Armstrong Wither(s), born in Wigtonshire in Scotland. I found info on a census saying he was born in 1865 in Kirkcolm Wigtonshire and his sister Mary (living with him) b.1879 Kirkcolm Wigtonshire but I can not find a record of their births. I understood their parents names were William Wither and Agnes ? Any help there would be appreciated. 3. Hi Andy, The first info on John I have is the 1861 census for Scotland. He was 25 yrs old and a boarder in Greenock West, Renfrewshire. I have his wife and family on later ones, her name was Elizabeth Johnstone. I am pretty set with the Scottish stuff the problem came up on the 1901 Census where it said he was born in Belfast Ireland, up till then I only new Ireland, and did not have a clue where to look. He was a widow in 1901. After his marriage the family lived on Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow Barony. Lanarkshire. Most of the children were born there. If you can help with anything in Ireland I would appreciate it.
