I am writing today to request some tip or lead to help me find an ancestor of mine, which I have information that states he comes from Antrim, Ireland. The information I have shows that my direct line of parentage on my fathers side leads to an Andrew Reed (born 1693 Antrim, Ireland died July 22, 1762 Boothbay (then called Townsend), Maine USA) who we a Jean Murray (born January 06, 1698 Antrim, Ireland died February 08,FEB 1780, Boothbay, Maine USA). The information I have on the couple says that they were married in 1724, but I don't have any information on if that was in the USA/colonies, or in Antrim, Ireland. I also have some information that they had a son, Joseph Reed, b. 1738, in Antrim, Ireland d. March 06, 1809, in Boothbay (Townsend), Maine, USA) That information would seem to indicate that they were married in Antrim, Ireland (as the 1724 information indicates), but I have no confirmation of that.
