    3. Susan: The 1st Ballyeaston Presbyterian Church census of 1813 lists 2 Ramsey families. One is in Ballyeaston and the other is in Donomoy. I believe Donomoy was also known as Dunamoy and that the area is now usually called Rashee. Both areas are very near Kilbride. The entries are as follows: Ballyeaston: Thomas Ramsey Age 55 Farmer Ruth, wife Age 55 Margret age 24 Mary age 22 Elen age 18 John age 16 William age14 Donomoy David Ramsey Age 28 Weaver Elen, Wife age 22 Patrick age 2-1/2 John age 3/4 Hope this helps, Mike Robinson

    3. Hello - Need some help here. [Oh, gosh, don't we all? ;-) ] I'm wondering were I would find the phone book for Kilbride online. Am wondering if there might be some Ramseys there. Has anyone done this - contacted people of the same ancestor's last name still living in the area? Did you get a positive response? Regards, Susan

    3. Actually, I did do that in Ballymena. I sent a letter to any of the Mortons that lived in areas around there that seemed likely. And, yes I did get a response. In fact while my sister and I were in Ballymena, we met the person (his aunt's were the recipients of the letter but they gave it to him) and collected a lot of Morton information from him. We haven't solidly connected our families, but the likelihood is very high. I have also sent letters to people I know are related (having figured it out from our trip to Ballymena) and have not been able to get them to respond. So it is hit and miss.
