Hello, These are my gg grandparents and I am told they are from Londonderry. James was born in 1797 or 1798 and Margaret was born in 1803. They were married approx. 1822 and had a daughter Mary Ann in 1823. In 1827, they emigrated to Canada with James's widowed mother Ann and a cousin of James called John Johnston. I suspect that the family was originally from Scotland as sometimes I find James's name spelled as Johnstone. If anyone can help me out with any information about James, and his parents, siblings, etc. I would be very grateful. Thanks Peggy Gordon, from BC, Canada
