He married Elizabeth Sterling in Bovevagh Parish, Derry in 1827, so I estimate that he was born about 1800. I believe that Elizabeth's father was Joseph Sterling. John Boyd is somehow related to a Rebecca Jane Boyd who married Alexander Rainey in Kilrea on Nov 13,1836. She was the daughter of Samuel Boyde and Jane Crilly of Ballywindelland. This couple had a son named John but he was born in 1818. John Boyd and Elizabeth Sterling had 7 daughters and two sons-Joseph and John. I have had a search done of the records of Ballymoney Presbyterian Church but there was nothing helpful. Griffith's has Samuel, Joseph and Alexander Boyd in Ballywindland. Any suggestions about where I might go from here or any connections would be very much appreciated. Regards, Virginia
